Over the years, whenever I hear an owl outside, I have a habit of trying to record it. This pack is a random collection of these field recordings, some clear some dirty. Almost all barred owls. I labelled this one "simultaneous barred and barn owls," so apparently with my ears I thought I could hear a barred owl at the same time. All owl sounds are extremely faint, and the only one I can hear now upon review is the barn owl toward the second half of the recording. (There was likely a little more activity before I managed to get the recording started.) This was recorded Sep 19, 2017 on an iPhone. In the foreground you can hear crickets and a pool filter.
