Great Spotted Woodpecker in forest. Morning March in park estate Haanwijk Van Gogh National Park. Male and female drumming on branches with a short quick roll to reinforce territory and pair bonding. Great spotted woodpeckers carve out a nest cavity in trees. They prefer soft woods, such as birch.
