Some atmosphere of the winter solstice event at Stonehenge 22/12/2021 Thousands of people greeted the dawn with cheers and applause at Stonehenge as they marked the winter solstice. Those who observed the spectacle on Saturday at the neolithic monument in Wiltshire encountered a windy morning as they marked the shortest day. I caught some of prayers being said in the inner circle which was repeated by the crowd starting at about 01:00.
